Show your support for polio eradication

World Polio Day is 24 October, and we invite all Rotary and Rotaract clubs to show their support by registering their participation. What are you waiting for?

Polio eradication has been Rotary's primary goal for more than 30 years, so it's important to show your support for our number one initiative.

We want to show the world that Rotary members still care about polio eradication and the promise we made long ago to the children of the world. Whether hosting an event or a fundraiser, raising awareness of the importance of polio immunization on social media, or making a simple presentation during a meeting, it's essential to show that we're making a difference. What matters is raising awareness for a cause important to all Rotary members and friends of our organization.

And you don't have to wait until 24 October to show your support. Take action today.

Here are some ideas:

Polio conference: Bring in doctors or health experts to give a presentation or participate in a polio panel.

Club presentation: Give a short presentation to your club members at the meeting nearest to 24 October.

Light show in your city: Raise awareness innovatively and uniquely by projecting the End Polio Now logo on buildings, theaters, or other landmarks in your city.

Stand in a market, shopping mall, or public square with members wearing End Polio Now t-shirts or banners. You can also organize a walk or bike ride with other clubs, districts, or local organizations.

Fundraiser for PolioPlus: Hold a dinner or a concert. Use Raise for Rotary or Facebook Fundraiser. You can also make a club donation directly to PolioPlus. Booths, shows, and charity sporting events are other good ways to raise funds.

Social media campaign: Partner with other Rotary, Rotaract, and Interact clubs in your city to promote the vital role Rotary plays in the fight against polio. Each club can register its participation independently, whether it's a few posts or an entire campaign.

It’s time to get started

Whether you organize a large event, plan a project, or find another way to show your support for polio eradication, remember to register your club. This year, the top-performing districts by percentage of clubs registered will receive a special thank you video from Rotary International President Gordon McInally.

Let's show the world that together, we end polio.
